Second Life: Miracles for an Atheist
Anne C. Cooper has released her first book, Second Life: An Atheist’s Journey to Spirituality, a memoir about her life before and after the death of her sixteen-year-old son and the miracles that began happening as she mourned his loss.
No one believed less in miracles than Anne, but they happened to her anyway. With her first life over, she sought to understand them as they led her to heal the deep grief known to anyone who has outlived a loved one. She used a unique perspective to explore the miracles of her second life—the worldview of quantum physics—and leads her readers to question and perhaps even reach her same conclusions about life, death, the other side, and reincarnation.
Second Life is available for purchase on November 1 from Cooper’s website, www.secondlifebook.com, and from many ebook and print book distribution sites.
Anne C. Cooper, the oldest of eight children, was raised as “mother’s little helper” and grew up helping care for her younger siblings before she was ten years old. So when she learned from her Akashic record reading that, in previous lives, she had always been mother to her mother and that this was the first life in which her mother was mother to her, her childhood made much more sense.
Fortunate to grow up at a time when it was financially possible to put oneself through school, Anne paid less than four hundred dollars a semester to attend William Paterson University, where she graduated in 1977 with a degree in English Literature. She then moved to Athens, GA as a young wife and freelance copywriter, to raise three boys and help her husband start a design business with global clients. Upon the failure of that business during the 1992 recession, Anne took a position as office manager for Miller/Barrett Construction and eventually earned her MBA. Two years later, she was appointed Director of MBA Admission for the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.
Now Georgia’s Director of MBA Student Experience, Anne is still a helper, as her Akashic record reading told her, a behind-the-scenes person who boosts people up to climb walls. She loves her work and, with her first book, is looking up and out for what it will bring into her life—good people, travel, adventure, love, and opportunities to share what she has learned.
